Wonderful New Chablis Arrivals: Nathalie & Gilles Fèvre

The Fevre wines are richly evocative of the unique terroir of Chablis - saline, powerful and stony. These are also exceptional values.

Petit Chablis 2022
A perennial value, this lively, fresh, classic Chablis is from vines ranging from forty to seventy years in age, all from the higher altitude vineyards near the winery in Fontenay-Prè-Chablis. Their Petit Chablis, from steeper slopes is composed of 100% Kimmeridgian Limestone, and made in stainless steel tanks to preserve vibrancy and minerality. This engagingly bold wine is crisp, flinty and dry. $27.00

Chablis 2022
A classy introduction to the saline and stone-influenced wines of the best examples of Chablis, Fevre’s very fine 2022 harvest shows through here. Lots of depth and richness in the bottle: crisp, fresh and luscious. Superb value. $31.00

Chablis 1er Cru “Fourchaume” 2021
Often the most highly sought-after Chablis Premier Cru, Fourchaume is on the right bank - the Grand Cru side - and is noted for its delicacy, aromatics and persistence. Fevre’s Fourchaume 2021 is largely from vines planted back in 1942 - delivering more grand concentration and complexity. $53.00

Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent 2021
Fevre’s Valourent vines are located adjacent to the high-rent district’s Grand Cru Preuses, and shares some of its typicity and drive. Not bad at all for the price! The ‘21 features a lovely combination of power and elegance, drinking well now and will be quite fine for years to come. $59.00

Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 2020
Great wine, super limited and a terrific price for this wine! $99.00
